Fellow Arizonans: to my supporters and the voters of our community,

I have some unfortunate news to share. Recently, while walking with my wife and our dog, I suffered a stroke and have since been in the care of medical professionals.

I have now returned home and am receiving outpatient therapy. As my recovery continues, each day brings healing and hope.

After speaking with my family and my doctors, I have decided to stay in the race. I am dedicated to seeing this campaign through. My goal remains the same: to continue advocating for everyone in Arizona so they can have the opportunities, rights and support necessary for realizing their full potential.

With November quickly approaching I want to thank you for your continued support as we work together to guarantee an Arizona where everyone can thrive.

Why I’m running

Democracy means allowing all voters to make a choice.  Previously our Legislative District - Arizona’s LD3 - had only two candidates running for two vacancies.  Unfortunately, they did not represent the views of many of our voters, and still do not.  I have made the decision to run in 2024 to help bring back not just competition and choice to our district, but also civility and thoughtful, fact-based decision making to the Arizona Legislature.

Since deciding to run last May, my campaign has collected all the signatures that I need to get on the primary ballot and received enough $5 donations to qualify for Citizens Clean Elections Commission funding.  I have been humbled by your support. Clean Elections funding means that I will not be asking for donations, but I do need your support as we head towards election day.

Approach

My 30 years as an Engineering Manager with Honeywell honed my leadership and negotiating skills.  While in the corporate world, I found that there are many competing sets of values and goals within groups involved with developing products.  Marketing would like a competitive product, engineering would like something feasible, management would like it quickly, finance would like it to be profitable and customers want it to be useful and affordable.  I would listen to all these groups, draft a proposal, then listen some more, and draft again.

These skills will transfer directly to the political arena. Here too, many groups have differing values and goals, but here, too, we must come together to draft, plan, design, and redesign, if need be. That is how the government should work.

Vision

I want everyone in Arizona to be secure and to have opportunities and support for realizing their potential.
